Jim Ballas has worked in the direct response television and radio industries practically since their inception. While you will not find him amongst the pitchmen at the trade shows and boardwalks, demonstrating various products for crowds of bewildered onlookers, he has immense respect for those men and women and uses them as a source of inspiration. The story of how Jim Ballas became an actor, though, is very interesting. He was “discovered” by someone while swimming in a hotel pool. This soon turned into a burgeoning career in acting and modeling, as well as being able to attend one of the most prestigious acting schools in the East.

This experience in front of the camera served to help make Mr. Ballas comfortable in front of the camera. This is a unique and valuable attribute to have when working in the industry of direct response television advertising. He is now the CEO of Spotlauncher, one of the leading DRTV companies in the industry.
